I’ve had a pretty good week, during which:
- I had two uni exams
So…I got back from Cooly Rocks On late Sunday night, only to have to wake up early the next morning for a Terrestrial Botany exam! Having spent most of the previous week away (some of it in hospital) I hadn’t exactly kept up with my exam study, but I was pleased to find that I seemed to do well in the exam.
Wednesday morning was my second, and final, exam for the term: Microbiology. Unlike Botany, I found this one HARD! A lot harder than I was expecting, with very little of the stuff I’d studied appearing on the exam. But I pushed through and answered as much as I could, and I’m confident that I’ve passed.
- I organised fundraising events as part of Pinup Doll Australia
As of the first of July, I can start fundraising for my chosen charity as part of my role as a finalist in the Pinup Doll Australia pageant. So far, I’ve organised a couple of fundraising opportunities, to take place in July and August. Time will tell if they’re successful!
- I laybyed some beautiful dresses with Ms Katt’s Kustom House
I’ve had my eye on a couple of lovely dresses by Australian designer Retrospec’d for a while now, and finally decided to layby three of them with Ms Katt’s Kustom House so that I wouldn’t miss out on the designs I wanted, in my size. The three I laybyed are the Sophia in Sea Shells (perfect for wearing around here to the beach), the Elizabeth dress in Bells in Bloom, and the Empire in Lilacs. I’ll review sizing and quality when I get them in mid-late July.
- It rained – a lot
A huge low moved over Queensland and northern New South Wales late this week, and today it has been absolutely bucketing down, with flash flooding predicted in some parts of the coast and inland areas. The rain is very welcome out west, where drought has gripped farming and grazing land for years, and it’s welcome here too, where the weather cycle has been unusually dry recently. I do hope it dries up before Tuesday, though, when I head to the Sunshine Coast for another specialist hospital appointment.
