The Last Dance dress by Banned is one of those items that gets comments all the time from strangers and family alike.
Made from stretch cotton (97% cotton, 3% spandex), this is a comfortable and lightweight dress that’s perfect for spring and summer in Queensland.
The fabric is textured and features a beautiful cherry blossom print on a sky blue background. The dress fastens with an invisible zip under the left arm, and I find that the zip runs easily and is simple to do up on your own.
The neckline of this dress is higher than I usually feel comfortable wearing, but because of the cut-out detailing, it doesn’t feel too high or tight, and it doesn’t make me look “all chest” like other high-necked dresses can do. There’s a button at the neck that you can undo to make getting the dress over your head easier.
The dress easily fits petticoats underneath. In these photos, I’m wearing a Spin Dance Australia standard two-layer petticoat.
I’m wearing a size XL in this dress, which is a size down from my usual dress size. This dress fits well, and is even a little loose in the waist. I would definitely call the sizing of this dress generous.
The Last Dance dress is available is sizes XS to 4XL. The XS fits an 32-34″ bust and a 25-26.5″ waist, while the 4XL fits a 50″ bust and a 46″ waist, so if you’re anywhere in that size range, the Last Dance dress will fit you.
Other items worn with the dress in these photos include an Erstwilder brooch, BAIT shoes, and a parasol from Avenell Brothers Bundaberg.
