Colours Available: Great range, including pure black, blues, purples, pinks and reds.
Wear: The colour goes on as a liquid, using a slanted sponge tip applicator. Despite having a bit of an unsteady hand when it comes to these things, even I am usually able to apply this neatly! These are strongly pigmented, so you don’t need to go over the same spot to build up colour – one swipe and you’re done. It’s also helpful that the colour you see in the tube is pretty exactly the colour you will get on your lips (although your own natural lipcolour may have an effect, of course), making it easy to figure out how the colours will look on you.
I trialed the lipstick today with no touch ups and no lip liner to see how it coped with normal wear. After applying the colour at midday, I was at home for a while, working on uni assignments and drinking cold drinks.
The above photo is how my lips looked after one hour and a big glass of cold cordial. A tiny bit of colour bleed in one corner of my mouth, no flaking.
The photo above is after five hours and an apple while out running errands. Still holding strong, with the tiniest bit of colour bleed in one corner of my mouth and a little unevenness caused by a bit of bleed on the top border of my lip. I did see a little bit of colour transfer onto the apple as I was eating, but the colour on my lips seemed almost as opaque as before.
Overall, I was happy with the longevity of this lip colour, and I’d be willing to buy more shades from the same range in the future, especially since they are so affordable.
