Let’s start at the legs with these pantyhose – with a faux thigh high look and heart shaped polka dots on a sheer leg, these are rather cute! They fit sizes 8 to 14 and are available from Australian online seller Wild Kitty Clothing for AU$14.95.
These glittery heart shoe clips are available in a wide range of colours for AU$11.28 a pair from UK seller Alternate Normality, meaning you can afford to buy a few pairs to match different outfits. I particularly like the bright red, lovely lilac and the royal blue colourways and I am already thinking of some dresses and skirts with which these hearts would go brilliantly.
Skipping up to the head, we have this gorgeous cherries and polka dot “Cherry Bomb” caplet to top off your retro hairdo. Handmade by Australian seller Gigi’s Retro Closet for AU$26, it features polka dots on the fabric and the mesh bow, plus lovely, richly coloured cherries to make your mouth water.
Need a dress with a bit of polka dot action? The Allison dress in pink pin dot is perfect for the job. Featuring a fitted three quarter sleeved top and a nicely flared full skirt, the Allison is designed to suit shorter ladies, which is great if you’re only 5’2″ like me! You can purchase the Allison directly from Pinup Girl Clothing for US$126. Alternatively, you might find it easier (and cheaper, by avoiding international postage and that awful Australian-US exchange rate) to purchase this dress from Ms Katt’s Kustom House, where it is available for a touch under AU$200.
Need a belt instead, to go with a dress or skirt combo you already own? Try the Dotti Retro Stretch Belt from Aussie online seller Natasha Marie. Featuring small white polka dots on a black background, this elasticated belt is stretchy, comfy and wide enough to give you a great pulled-in look at your natural waist. Available in three sizes for AU$10, this is a cheap way to start off your polka dot collection.
The final item on my list of pretty things this week is something I want to show you: a red
felt love heart brooch gifted to me by my lovely penpal and friend, Paulette. I often wear it with my Folter anatomy dress to add a bit of colour, and it never fails to make me smile!
What has made your pretty list this week?
